The Island Investment Forum (IIF)

The Island Investment Forum (IIF) is the premier global platform for catalyzing investment into Small Island Developing States (SIDS), not merely as an annual gathering, but as a permanent, dynamic mechanism embedded within the SIDS Centre of Excellence.

Each year, the IIF will host a high-level convening that will bring together heads of government, global investors, development finance institutions, multilateral banks, and private sector leaders. This annual event will go beyond dialogue, delivering tangible results through curated deal rooms, pitch sessions, and investment.

Beyond its annual convening, the IIF will operate as a permanent, agile investment facilitation mechanism.

The ABAS

As highlighted in the ABAS, SIDS continue to face structural barriers to mobilizing investment at scale.

These constraints restrict the ability of SIDS to attract long-term, sustainable investment aligned with resilience and development objectives.

Mandated in the ABAS, the Forum is designed to:
  • Mobilize public and private finance

  • Support entrepreneurship and innovation

  • Facilitate structured government–investor engagement

  • Enhance access to climate-appropriate financing mechanisms
